The THALIM joint research unit contributes to writing a plural and transnational history of modernity based on the arts and literature. The expertise of specialists in literature, film studies, theatre studies, art history and aesthetics provides a range of approaches to this complex history, which is also informed by the diversity of the cultural and linguistic areas under consideration and the study of the cultural transfers that take place within them.
