Probably because of its relationship with a coastal culture, Swahili literature seems very aware of its situation in the world. Through the reading of some poems and novels, I propose to study the way in which the Swahili writers configure the world in its entirety. This will open the way to identify the specificities of a Swahili cosmopolitanism.
